The Ediacaran from the Moldova-Podillya Basin (9th stop)

One of the thickest outcrops in the Moldova-Podillya basin can be found to the southeast of the Naslavcea village.

The sedimentary succession reaches approximately 35-40 meters. It consists of the black argillites of the Kalyus Beds, with occurrences of nodular phosphorite concretions and carbonate mounds with cone-in-cone structures.

The area is quite arboraceous, but nevertheless, there are good-quality outcrops.

Several immense nodular phosphorite concretions that are usually found on the same layer bed.
